Experienced Acceptance Tester

Major Accountabilities

  • The Experienced Acceptance Tester is part of the Operation team and will be responsible for the acceptance testing of new software releases issued by HomeSend Development Team
  • The intention is to have regular releases to provide flexibility for product enhancement while ensuring platform stability
  • The Experienced Acceptance Tester needs to validate and approve the new releases by appropriate acceptance testing on the different pre-production environments
  • Review new business requirements and prepare end –to end test plans to ensure seamless integration into daily operations
  • Execute test plans and manage the migrations on the different platforms in order to ensure a smooth migration onto the HomeSend Production Platform
  • Review and enhance the testing strategy in collaboration with the Development team and Platform Owner
  • The function is based in Brussels with occasional travel to our office in Meylan, France
  • As part of the Operations team the role will also be integrated in the Level 3 support team (guard duty)


  • Participate continuous enhancement of the global test strategy
  • Write the test planning (including the test strategy and test cases) for each testing phase including :
    o    Migration testing
    o    Acceptance testing
    o    E2E (end to end) testing
  • Perform the tests in accordance with the test planning and in collaboration with the program manager and platform owner
  • Write, test and execute the migration and implementation procedure
  • Assure package deployment to our different environments (Testing, pre-production and production)
  • Manage the platform migration with the support of L3 and pre-production teams
  • Perform active and proactive maintenance of the platform and service as part as Level 3 support
  • Support the teams during the warranty period including duties (nights and WE)
  • Work together with our vendors to implement new solutions and HW/SW releases

All about you

  • You have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IT or ICT or the equivalent experience
  • Strong operational knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting languages (Python, ...) is a must
  • Good knowledge of Oracle DB
  • English language is compulsory, other languages are an asset
  • Strong sense of initiative
  • Flexible in adapting to new ways of working
  • Take accountability for end to end quality
  • Creative, result-oriented, proactive, problem solving skills
  • Team player and flexible
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work and interact effectively in a multi-cultural team
  • Experience in Acceptance Testing is compulsory
